In this infosession, tailored to the needs of your specific discipline, the data stewards walk you through the Data Management Plan (DMP). Each starting researcher has to deliver an "initial DMP" within 6 months after the project approval, and a "final DMP" at the end of the research project.
First, we will go into detail about the funder requirements, the timeline and the purpose of the data management plan, and the tool DMPonline. Next, we will touch upon each section of the Flemish standard DMP template: research data summary, documentation & metadata, data storage & back-up, data preservation, data sharing and responsibilities. In general, you will learn about best practices in research data management conform funder and institutional policies as well as according to the legal and ethical regulations.
Altough this is a theoretical course, active participation is encouraged. The more we know about your data, the better we can adjust the training to your needs.
