In the context of Open Access week, we will spend an entire day on training around different Open Science aspects and how you, as a researcher, can use them to your advantage.
Part 1 will be provided by the UHasselt RDM team and will focus on data-related topics such as:
- The data management plan (DMP)
- Be aware that this is not an infosession about filling out the DMP. For guidance with filling out the DMP, we refer you to our DMP guide, our DMP days and/or our RDM helpdesk page.
- FAIR data
- Open data
- Open notebooks
Part 2 will be provided by the UHasselt Open Access experts and will focus on topics related to OA publishing such as:
- The UHasselt OA policy
- Navigating the landscape of OA journals and identifying predatory journals
- The role of ORCiD
- Researcher testimonials on Open Science practices

After attending this training, participants will be aware of ...
- a broad spectrum of Open Science activities that can be included in a research project to create more visibility for a researcher,
- the Open Science requirements that they have to fulfill for their funded research project,
- which support they can get at Hasselt University to help them achieve their Open Science goals.
