Everything I do is driven by the belief that no one should suffer from preventable sports injuries. My own experience with severe sports injuries inspires me to challenge traditional knowledge and approaches with the goal of helping others stay injury-free and return to the sports they love.
I take a holistic approach to sports injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport decision-making, valuing critical thinking and pushing the boundaries of conventional research. By integrating sports physiotherapy, neuroscience, technology, and epidemiology, I strive to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. I am convinced that rethinking traditional methods and deepening our knowledge can ensure safer sports participation and more effective rehabilitation.
My research focuses on epidemiology and sports physiotherapy, the brain’s role in sports injuries, exploring the prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries, motor learning, return-to-sport decision-making, and technological innovations through an interdisciplinary approach. Through these efforts, I aim to contribute to developing innovative, evidence-based protocols that help people avoid injuries and successfully return to their sport.
