Working within the Designing for More research group at the Faculty of Architecture & Arts as a researcher (master navorser) since 2016. Through various research projects (TETRAs and POC), she was able to develop a lot of expertise in researching retail experience and influencing buying behaviour.
In 2017, Charlotte co-founded the Retail Design Lab, a unique knowledge centre in retail design where academic insights are converted into practical tools and advice. Through the Retail Design Lab, many retailers, designers and consultants have already been trained, coached and advised in more experiential design solutions for several stores.
Together with Prof. Dr. Katelijn Quartier, Charlotte is the face of the knowledge centre and supports many renowned companies in Belgium as a consultant.

From September 2024, Charlotte also teaches retail design to students of the 3rd Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Design Studio Retail Design) and Master students of Retail Design (Research Seminar Lovemarks).
