Jean-Pierre Segers got his Ph.D. in Economics and Management from the University of Liège (HEC Management School). He is a visiting professor at Hasselt University (Belgium) and is also affiliated with Université de Liège (HEC) and PXL University of Applied Sciences (honorary dean of Business). He is a former visiting professor of Riga Technical University and an Expert of the Latvian Council of Science (Economics and business of social science; political science).
His research interests include big pharma & biotechnology; (open) innovation (management); (regional) systems of innovation; ecosystems and innovation districts; business models; entrepreneurship & entrepreneurship education; sustainability & SDGs; facility management.
