Prof. dr. Sebastien LIZIN

About Me

Trained in business engineering (economics) and environmental sanitation and management (environmental sciences), I received tenure at the environmental economics (eec) research group of Hasselt University's center for environmental sciences (cmk).
My research interests and expertise are in non-market valuation (e.g. monetizing the benefits of river restoration and ecosystem services of protected areas), pro-environmental behavior (e.g. explaining why people recycle batteries), and technology assessment (e.g. assessing the economic and environmental impact of organic photovoltaics).
You will see these interests resurface as you browse through the list of projects, publications, and supervised PhD students, which is available for your information if you scroll further down.
