Re-worlding is a series of seminars and lectures to stimulate reflection and debate on research in art, architecture and design.
Bart Verschaffel (1956) is full Professor of Theory of Architecture and Architectural criticism at Ghent University (Belgium). He has published widely in the fields of Architectural Theory, Theory of History, Aesthetics, and Philosophy of Culture. Monographical publications include: De glans der dingen. Studies en kritieken over kunst en cultuur (1989); Figuren/Essays (1995); Van Halewyck/De Balie, Leuven/Amsterdam; Architecture is (as) a Gesture (2001), Quart, Luzern; À propos de Balthus (2004); A&S/books, Gent; Van Hermes en Hestia. He has published numerous texts; is author of a series of documentary films and curator of two major exhibitions.
