African Conference on Resilient and Sustainable Cities

The African Centre for Sustainable Cities Studies (ACS) is pleased to invite paper, poster and innovation exhibition proposals for the “African Conference on Resilient and Sustainable Cities”. The conference will be conducted on February 26 and 27, 2025. The objective of the conference is to provide a platform and opportunity for educators, researchers, scholars, practitioners, innovators and students to come together in order to share and discuss latest development of their works related to resilient and sustainable city development and the way forward.

The focus of the regional conference is to present the most current, original and innovative research ideas, and solutions and professional practices for achieving a sustainable future in a multidisciplinary context. Specifically, innovative research results and professional practices within the context of sustainable, innovative digital technologies, local knowledge systems, participation and governance, and resource management, as well as cross-cutting issues will be presented and discussed.

The conference organizers invite academicians, educators, researchers, policy makers, architects, engineers and other practitioners, community representatives, innovators, students, and other stakeholders across all levels and different fields to share their views, concerns, perspectives, experiences and knowledge about sustainable city development in the African region.

Call for contributions

We invite you to send us your contribution! We are organising paper presentations (reduced conference fee), poster presentations and exhibitions. All specific details can be find below.

All presented papers will be published online in a conference proceeding. High quality presented papers will be selected for publication in a Journal special issue. Immediately after the conference, corresponding authors of those papers will be contacted to submit extended and further refined versions of their papers for publication in the special issue.
