Students of the School of Social Sciences spent four months working with inmates at the Hasselt prison to create a remarkable theatrical performance. The result, called "Over de dorpen", was performed four times in front of an audience in the prison's visitors' area. This unique production shed light on life inside the prison walls and offered the audience an unprecedented view of this world. For the students, this was a chance to get unique insights into life behind the prison walls, while the inmates showed that they are just the same as everyone else.
