Prof. dr. Sebastien Lizin (CMK UHasselt, Environmental Economics) and his PhD student Haitham Abu Ghaida (CMK UHasselt, Environmental Economics) and Prof. dr. Steven Van Garsse (UHasselt, Law) are proud to be member of the Sapiens Network.
What is SAPIENS Network? SAPIENS stands for Sustainability and Procurement in International, European, and National Systems.
SAPIENS Network is an international training network of 10 EU universities and 19 partner organisations (including international organisations, public purchasers, R&D centres, public and independent expertise centres, a lobbyist and a US academic institution (GWU). The network was created because unleashing the potential of SPP requires a new generation of experts capable of working across disciplines (law, economics, business sciences) and knowledgeable of the different relevant methodologies.
More infoThe beneficiaries and partnering organizations that work together on the SAPIENS Network span across disciplines and countries. All organizations listed have in-house expertise and a huge contact network to contribute to the training activities.
The Beneficiaries are academic research centres and leading researchers within the field of sustainable public procurement.
The Partnering Organisations are public procurement and sustainable public procurement leaders acting as regulators, lobbyists, buyers, researchers, trainers and experts.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 956696.
