Full-scale evaluation of the mechanical properties, failure modes, and structural response of structural components or systems are possible at our structural lab, the AC³.
The mechanical response of structures or structural elements can also be assessed and measured through the experimental testing of (full-scale) test specimens. CERG can accommodate a broad range of experimental setups and apply static loads up to 500 tonnes in compression and 250 tonnes in tension. Several mechanical and digital measuring techniques are also available to measure the applied force and the induced displacement, strain, or stress fields. For more information concerning the testing capabilities of CERG, please visit the web page of the Application Centre for Concrete and Construction (AC³).
