Design tools
One of the ways in which CERG contributes to the transition between fundamental and applied research is through the development of in-house design tools. These tools are made to aid current design engineers in their daily practices.
Stabitim: racking resistance software tool
The Stabitim design tool allows for a simple pre-design check of the racking resistance of timber frame structures in accordance with method A described in Eurocode 5 (NBN EN 1995-1-1). By providing a floor plan, the racking walls can be identified and the racking resistance is evaluated based on the geometry and setup of the walls. This demo-version currently supports fully anchored wall setups. The download page can be found here.
