Why are there only solar panels on roofs and not in hats or caps?

Hmm, a cap or jacket that works as a solar panel? Now isn't that very futuristic? No, not in the lab of chemist Wouter Maes from Hasselt University. He is therefore working on slightly different solar cells than the ones in your solar panel. His solar cells are very thin, foldable, transparent (or in a bright color), and made of organic compounds. So more sustainable! You can then put these in your windows or your handbag. In his lab, he tinkers with all kinds of molecules to arrive at the ideal solar cell. He came to our podcast studio to explain how that works, with Koen as the host.
