2020-02-18: Easy access to journal articles with LibKey Nomad!
The University Library has a subscription to LibKey Nomad, a browser extension that provides quick and direct access to all scholarly articles for which Hasselt University holds a license.
LibKey Nomad offers assistance in three ways:
- When LibKey Nomad detects a downloadable PDF, a PDF download button is displayed.
- It works everywhere, so even if you're off-campus, you can check if the University Library provides access to the specific article (in this case, you'll be directed through the UH proxy server to authenticate you as an authorized user).
- It identifies other options in case access isn't available through the publisher.
Give it a try right away! LibKey Nomad is highly user-friendly and easy to install. After installation, you just need to select 'Hasselt University' as the institution.
What about privacy?
Unlike some other browser extensions, your UH login credentials aren't stored in your browser, you don't need to create a personal account, and your usage isn't tracked.
