The EURECA-PRO UHasselt team extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributes to our growing community. Let’s raise a toast to a sustainable future and a healthier planet!

From November 24 to 29, Hasselt University welcomed 19 PhD students from 5 different EURECA-PRO partner universities. Students from Poland, Spain, Greece, Austria, and Germany joined UHasselt researchers to explore diverse topics, from sustainable materials to equity and inclusion in organisations.

19-22 November, a delegation of 21 Hasselt University colleagues visited our EURECA-PRO partner University of León. A diverse group of academic directors, researchers, and staff members share their experiences.

The Review Week in Freiberg and Mittweida provided an opportunity for partner universities to review the project's phase 2 progress since the start in 2022. It was a time for critical reflection, sharing of best practices, and discussing strategies for overcoming challenges faced during the implementation of the project.

A UHasselt delegation recently returned from a visit to the Silesian University of Technology (SUT) in Poland, a key partner in the EURECA-PRO alliance. This visit provided an invaluable opportunity to explore the facilities and operations of SUT, with a focus on fostering future collaborations.

After the European Union gave the go-ahead for the second phase of the European network of universities EURECA-PRO in June 2023, no more than 140 members from the 9 partner universities are gathering at Hasselt University this week. "In this kick-off week, we are laying the foundation on which we will build our network over the next four years to become the contact point within Europe for sustainable production and consumption," says rector Bernard Vanheusden.

In September The Technical University of Crete hosted a conference on sustainable consumption and production. Together with 54 staff members, professors and PHD students, Hasselt University was the biggest delegation present to represent their university. Are you joining us next time?
