We are excited to invite you to the upcoming lecture "Project Philosophy and Space Standardisation" by Jorge Galvan Lobo, Student Experiment Coordinator in support of the ESA Academy Experiments Programme at ESA ESEC-Galaxia.
During the session, Jorge Galvan Lobo will provide an overview of the concept of project philosophy and its impact on project management and system engineering. The lecture will also include a crash course on standardisation, introducing the ECSS system and how it can be tailored specifically for student projects.

When facing a space project, particularly from a student perspective, sizing your engineering and management disciplines to your resources, scope and objectives is crucial for success. Additionally, employing recognised industrial and space standards is a necessity when progressing through a project's lifetime. This session will contain an overview of the concept of project philosophy and its impact on project management and system engineering will be provided, as well as a crash course into the concept of standardisation, the ECSS system and its tailoring for student projects.
