Agri-DataManagement & Precision Agriculture

The possibilities of data capture and processing with algorithms are enormous, but are as yet underutilized by the implementation of precision agriculture. ADaM&PreciLa wants to bring Precision Agriculture (PreciLa) in Flanders and the Netherlands to the grower through improved Agri-DataManagement (ADaM), technical innovations and practical demonstrations. The focus is on fruit growing and arable farming.

Data on the crops during growth and harvest will be collected using existing and new techniques to arrive at interpretable information. Based on that data, different variable crop measures (variable fertilization/growth control, irrigation, spraying and seeding/planting) will be tested and demonstrated using task maps.

To be able to apply precision agriculture, it is also necessary to get all data insight in one connected platform, from which the data can be visualized and shared between different actors (data collector, grower, advisor, ...). We want to achieve this by further developing the platforms of the project partners and having them exchange data in a standardized way with various data providers and buyers. Existing ambiguities about the technical aspects of precision agriculture such as the required level of precision will be eliminated. Finally, growers must gain a clear understanding of the associated investment and operating costs in relation to the potential additional yield and value of the data generated (i.e. an economic evaluation) in order to bring precision agriculture into practice.

Take a look at the Interreg page for additional information about the project, project duration and partners.
